Privacy Policy

Who runs this

ResumeIQ is a product of NPUI Media Network LLP, based in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India, and is built and maintained by Naveen Kumar (iamnvn.in). "We" in this policy means NPUI Media Network LLP. If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, reach out anytime at contact@iamnvn.in.

What we collect

To run the service, we collect and store:

• Account info: your name and email, and a securely hashed password (or your Google profile info if you sign in with Google; we never see your Google password).
• Resume files and text: the resume you upload or paste, and the text extracted from it.
• Support messages: the tickets you send us from the Support page, any images you attach, and our replies. Images are converted to a plain format when uploaded, which removes hidden data such as location and device details, and are only visible to you and our support team. They are all deleted with your account.
• Job descriptions: anything you paste in for a comparison analysis.
• Analysis results: the scores, feedback, and report generated from the above.
• Basic usage data: how many analyses you've run (to enforce free-tier limits) and your IP address (used only to prevent abuse of the service).

How your resume is analyzed

To generate your analysis, the text of your resume (and job description, if provided) is processed by trusted third-party service providers that power our analysis engine. They process that text solely to generate your report, and it isn't used to build any product of their own.

How we use your data

• To generate and show you your resume analysis and ATS score.
• To let you save, revisit, and manage your past analyses.
• To enforce free-tier usage limits and prevent abuse of the service.
• To send account-related emails: a welcome email, and password-reset links if you request one. We don't send marketing email.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage of the site: which pages get visited, roughly how many people use the app, and similar high-level patterns. It uses cookies and may collect your IP address and device or browser information. It never receives your resume content or analysis results.

Google Analytics only runs if you choose "Accept" in the cookie banner. Until then, and if you choose "Decline", its script is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. The site works the same either way. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" in the footer, and declining after having accepted removes the analytics cookies again. Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on is another option.

Separately, sign-in and sign-up pages use Google reCAPTCHA to tell people from bots. It is needed to keep the service secure, so it is not optional, and is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Sharing your analysis

Sharing is off by default. If you turn on the "Share" toggle for an analysis, anyone with that link can view the report without logging in, until you turn sharing back off. Turning sharing off immediately breaks the old link.

How long we keep your data

Your resumes and analyses are kept until you delete them yourself, or delete your account. There is currently no automatic expiry. If you don't delete something, it stays in your account indefinitely.

Your controls

From your account Settings, you can at any time:

• Update your name.
• Change your password.
• Delete individual saved analyses.
• Delete your entire account: this permanently removes your account, all saved analyses, and the underlying resume files. Records of payments you made are kept, without a link to a live account, for accounting and tax purposes.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data: passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, and your session is authenticated with a secure token. No online service can guarantee complete security, so we always recommend using discretion with any sensitive personal information.

Children

ResumeIQ isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may change as the project evolves. If it does, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use ResumeIQ after a change means you accept the updated policy.
